Darkness had triumphed There was no joy It was a nightmare Not a fairy tale I remember The killers throwing children Into the flames The laugh of the executioner Like broken shards Did I really hear it? Was it real? I watched As so many friends So many faces and eyes vanished Slipping in to the flames They flickered in the middle of the darkness The flame, They were Faces I remembered the faces The faces of soldiers Sadistic smiles Cruel eyes Har-bringers that killed with no emotion I stared at those faces As I slipped in to the flames And knew what death means What demons were And that I was in Hell This is April 1945 This was the month

When I was young, I used to believe all people were good… Always good’ when I was young, I believed a PERSON would never HURT another PERSON Unless it was NECCESARY unless they HAD TO because it was RIGHT When I was young, I used to BELIEVE that the figures on the tv screen and the people you saw prancing around with $$ in their pocket and   Charming J on their faces   were good… Or at the very least happy when I was young, I believed that people were people of GOOD intentions And GOOD hearts and GOOD minds And souls… When I was young, I had know idea what a war (that set life against life Son against
